This was a wonderful place to stay. Our cottage was comfortable, cosy and quiet. It was nestled in amongst the delightful gardens with a gorgeous view to the lake, that was only a 5-minute walk away and so we were able to do some fishing off the property's jetty which was relaxing and fun for our family. Our teenage children had their own bedroom and bathroom which is always very nice for us parents, especially given we stayed for a week. The children did lots of exploring around the property and swam in the pool every day. They borrowed Monopoly from the guesthouse and had a perpetual Monopoly game for the week. The newly opened Goodenia Restaurant was fabulous. We enjoyed a couple of delicious meals there and the service was tops! The wine list was impressive and my favourite was dessert, Affogato, that the very lovely Maitre d' even made with decaf for me. We had quite a few meals that we prepared in the cottage's well-equipped kitchen and we barbequed on our balcony for a couple of meals also. I enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck of an evening and a cup of coffee there in the morning. It was quite blissful. Getting to and from the Merrimbula town centre was easy and the town had everything we needed to stock up and for entertainment and WE SAW WHALES, lots of them, which was the main purpose of our trip.

Beautiful view and quiet location apart from building work that is happening currently. First two nights were in a smaller room with quite a small bed and fairly dark room with no breakfast options other than tea and a tiny milk with 2 biscuits. The staff were very friendly indeed. After a couple of nights in Jervis Bay we returned and the room was better bigger and the bed was bigger and more comfortable which was nice but made me realise the first two nights we were staying in an average room for the same cost as the better room. Not used to staying in a hotel with zero breakfast option. Seemed to be in a phase of transition really. The pool area was lovely when sunny but didn’t use it as its next to bar area and was not sure when we’d be overlooked by bar/restaurant patrons. Staff directed us to Sunny’s down the road for breakfast which was a lovely spot.

Robyn’s Nest is absolutely fantastic. Our cottage was very clean, spacious, with very well-equipped kitchen, two nice bathrooms, and two bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The balcony was big and had a barbecue. The resort is situated in beautiful surroundings overlooking Merimbula Lake and only a ten-minute walk from the boardwalk to town. The swimming pool is also very nice and clean with free pool towels. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here and had a delicious dinner at The Goodenia Restaurant. The food, wine, and service were excellent. We will highly recommend this place.

We came across Robyn's Nest Lakeside Resort by chance and it was a delightful stay. The resort is situated in a private location, surrounded by natural beauty with the bushland and lake. We had a lovely room with a large covered verandah and plenty of space. It is a short drive into town, but we enjoyed dining at the onsite restaurant and using the facilities. The staff were very attentive and helpful at all times. We enjoyed sitting on the verandah to read, relax and enjoy the lake views.

The setting is amazing giving a quiet stay close to nature but easy drive to town. We were in a room with lake views in the guest house with clean flexible accommodation and great swimming pool. Staff were amazing and the restaurant was one of the best we had encountered on more than 3 weeks on the road. Worthy of a decent length stay.
